Nine young leaders from Japan are participating in a virtual program as part of the 2021 Japanese delegation of the US-Japan Young Political Leaders Exchange Program, which is co-sponsored by JCIE and the American Council for Young Political Leaders (ACYPL).
Their agenda includes meetings hosted by government officials, policy experts, business representatives, and ACYPL alumni. Topics of discussion will include US-Japan relations in the aftermath of 2020 leadership changes, COVID-19 relief and public health initiatives, and how to reach across political divides.
There will also be a virtual exchange for American young political leaders in April, 2021.
