The JCIE/USA Executive Roundtable is a private discussion series addressing key issues affecting the United States and Japan. The sessions feature leading perspectives from the United States and Japan and take place in an intimate, off-the-record setting where participants can gain insight, raise questions, and exchange ideas with one another. Participants include leaders from the private and public sectors, including our program partners, sponsors, and alumni, and a select group of experts and practitioners who help enrich the conversation.

EXECUTIVE ROUNDTABLE | Japan’s Economic Security Legislation and Implications for Japan and US-Japan Relations

JCIE/USA hosted an online discussion to examine US and Japanese approaches to ensuring economic security as part of its Executive Roundtable series. The hour-long discussion took place in the context of Japan’s new legislation to bolster its economic security and amidst heightened tension over the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which was causing tremendous global insecurity.
