JCIE has teamed up with the United Nations Foundation as the Japan partner of the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO. This fund enables Japanese companies, organizations, and individuals to donate to support the work of the World Health Organization (WHO), the vaccine initiative CEPI, UNICEF, World Food Program (WFP), and other international organizations in their fight against the pandemic. Contributions to the COVID-19 Fund are being used to track the spread of the virus, equip frontline responders with lifesaving personal protective equipment (PPE), and accelerate vaccine research and development.
When donors in Japan contribute through our Japanese-language portal, the donations go directly through the UN Foundation to the international global health organizations fighting against COVID-19.
Corporations and individuals who contribute ¥100,000 or more can also contribute through JCIE and be eligible for tax deductibility in Japan. For more information, please visit the Japanese-language COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund page.
JCIE is a nonprofit, nonpartisan foreign affairs institute with offices in Tokyo and New York.
