Global Governance in the 21st Century: Common Challenges for East Asia and Europe
The 9th East Asia-European Union Think Tank Dialogue was held in Tokyo, Japan on October 4–7, 2007, conferred under the theme, “Global Governance in the 21st Century: Common Challenges for East Asia & Europe.” An initiative of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation to promote exchange and research collaboration between non-governmental organizations from the European Union and East Asian countries, this year’s event was co-sponsored by the Institute for Development and International Studies (ISDS) Manila and the Japan Center for International Exchange (JCIE). Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, ASEAN Secretary General, delivered the keynote address.
