The 12th APAP Forum was held in Bali on November 27–28, 2006, and focused on the trilateral relationship that is emerging among three main pillars of global governance—East Asia, North America, and Europe in Global Governance. More than 20 participants from each region gathered to assess the significance of this trilateral relationship and ways in which it can be improved. Panels were organized governance issues related to the process of East Asia community building, obstacles to East Asia community building, perspectives on East Asia community from outside the region, and the ways in which regional community building efforts can contribute to global governance.
