JCIE/Japan is pleased to announce that Mr. Isao Kano has been appointed as the organization’s new President and CEO, effective April 1, 2023. Mr. Kano brings a wealth of international management experience to JCIE. He enjoyed a four-decade-long career at Mitsubishi Corporation, during which he was posted to seven locations around the world, focusing on mineral resources trading, investment, and development and overseeing various corporate functions such as corporate planning and business development. He has long been a supporter of private-sector and people-to-people exchange, and has been a core participant in JCIE’s UK-Japan 21st Century Group.
