Tomoko Yoshida joined JCIE/USA in 2018 as a senior program officer, where she manages its global health initiatives. Previously, she worked at Coca-Cola (Japan) and its foundation, helping manage mainly its Tohoku Reconstruction Fund programs as well as running sports education programs at schools around the country. She started her career at Sunstar Inc., a health care products company, where she worked for 10 years as a chief planner for its public relations and corporate social responsibility. 

Tomoko is passionate about HIV/AIDS and human rights issues, and has conducted research on HIV/AIDS commissioned by the Ministry of Health and Labor of Japan and founded and led several HIV/AIDS awareness-raising campaigns targeting youth, workplace awareness programs, and other initiatives. Ms. Yoshida earned her BA in international relations from Tsuda College and her Master of Public Health degree (International Community Health Education) from New York University’s Steinhardt School. She also interned at the International Organization for Migration Mission in Cambodia.
