Miyu Yamanaka joined JCIE/USA in February 2023 as an intern. Prior to joining JCIE, Miss Yamanaka worked in internship positions for GR Japan, the Japan Public Affairs Association, and Eurasia Group, where she covered Japanese politics, Japanese ICT policy, and US-Japan relations.
At JCIE, Miss Yamanaka supports the team on website and social media updates, office administration, and ongoing JCIE programs and projects.
Miss Yamanaka was born in Tokyo and spent her childhood in Texas before returning to Japan. She earned her Bachelor’s degree at the Faculty of Law at Keio University, where she studied competition and WTO/GATT law. She is currently pursuing a Dual Master’s degree with the School of International and Public Affairs at Columbia University and the Graduate School of Public Policy at the University of Tokyo.
